About me:
I am from Hong Kong, where I did my undergraduate training in medicine.
After completing my internship, I joined the Department of Health, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, China.
I am a higher specialist trainee in public health medicine in the Department.

About my job:
My Department is developing a Public Health Information System that contains data on the health status of Hong Kong people.
I was part of the project team before I came to Columbia University for the study in biomedical informatics.
After graduation, I will return to my project team to continue the system development and implementation.

About my study:
In August 2003, I came to New York City to pursue the Applied Masters degree course in biomedical informatics in Columbia University.
I have special interest in the applications of information technology to the practice of public health (e.g. how IT can help analysis of community health data for health assessment and policy making, surveillance of disease outbreak in the community and alert system).

About my hometown:
Although Hong Kong is small and overcrowded with about 7 million population, it is a beautiful and energetic city in the Southeast Asian region.
It is well-known as the Oriental Pearl for its magnificent night scene.
