Summary of Job Description
The Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) at Columbia University is revolutionizing the clinical research enterprise with the help of information technology. At DBMI, we are building the infrastructure of the future to support and enable better research and dissemination. We have an immediate opening for a talented and self-motivated project coordinator who has strength in collaborative work in a medical/healthcare setting and an interested in electronic health record research.  

The current available position is grant-funded.

Essential Functions

Great communication skills and able to multitask in a fast paced environment. Experience working in the healthcare environment/ science field a plus.

Coordinate and assist in project management activities, resources, equipment and information (25%)
Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants in the research projects (25%)

Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management (20%)
Work with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers for data quality (10%)

Break projects into smaller components and set timeframes (10%)
Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise (10%)
